For almost 40 years, Allcan Distributors has been a leading provider of electronic parts and equipment for the wireless communications industry in Western Canada. Not surprisingly, the only constant during this period has been change; change in technology, in markets, in distribution channels, and with our clients. Allcan has distinguished itself by its ability to adapt: our business focus has changed to keep pace with the market. Our client base -once comprised primarily of radio service and reseller outlets – has grown to include integrators, large industrial firms, Government agencies, large scale distributors and large scale direct users.
Where we once sold radio parts and related components, we now provide our clients a full scope of hardware ranging from connectors and custom cables, to communications towers, to sophisticated radio systems and signal enhancement technology. We are a “one stop shop” for the industrial/institutional wireless supply and service industry and pride ourselves on our excellent order fill rates.
Our support services have also grown to keep pace with market needs. We service what we sell and have also added access to professional engineering and design capabilities, NOC (Network Operating Centre) services and access to 24/7 field service and preventative maintenance services to our offerings. We have programs that make it easier for our smaller clients in remote areas to have access to parts through our e-commerce and jobber services. We do more to so that our clients are more connected, more effective and more profitable.
